The Cortijo Fuente Guijarro, Macarena, is situated at 1.850 m above sea level in Alpujarra de la Sierra – a wild and mountainous region which is part of the southern slopes of the Sierra Nevada – and looks down over the immense valley that extends towards the Mediterranean Sea. On clear days it is possible to see the African coast. In such spectacular surroundings the two houses of Cortijo Macarena are placed in the isolated peace and tranquillity of a dedicated ecological farm and cider cellar of some 60.000 square meters. The capacity of both Cortijos is for 12 persons and it is at a distance

of 15 minutes driving – 11 km – from the closest road and the village of Yegen. At the Cortijo a number of integrated activities take place – all of which are in harmony with the nature of this clean and open space. The meetings, courses and seminars can be part of an ongoing calendar or more spontaneous events and are attended by people from all over Spain and abroad – many of whom become part of a wide circle of friends who come back over and over again.
